"Normal life" is swarming me up

It's been 3 weeks since my release. I am doing what normal person would do in their everyday life. "Normal life" is just so complicated. You can never be quite success until you actually sit down, set goals and plans, just like serving a mission :) The difference between the two is that the normal life you have 1500 different things you can do. Opportunities, in my case at lease, are everywhere. I can choose to do many many things. There are so many choice that I somehow just kind of sit still. All I do since I came back from Seattle is sit right in front of the computer for the whole time. It's really time wasting, which is one of the greatest assets God offered us. Well, I decided that I should evaluate and plan ahead again. I missed out on a lot of good things because I made wrong decision in spending my time.

Heading back

Here I am, in Seoul International Airport. After 12 hours of movies marathon, we finally arrived. We flew from Seattle to Seoul. It was a lot easier than I thought. I sit right by a person named Fred. He is from Idaho, but not a member of the Church. He got two kids, and worked at a Airforce base of America in Korea. He's a lot of fun to talk to. Well, if anyone is interested in my taste of movie watching, here are them: Wall.E, Sex and the City, Speed  Racer and Death Defying Acts. Aside from the entertainment I had from all these movies, I learnt some life lessons that, in time, I suppose, will greatly enhance my life experience.
In this few months, including the ending part of my mission, my parents are very interested about my love life, and what I stand for in marriage. They asked me about who I would consider to take as an eternal companion. Despite my inexperience and lack of life skills, I set really high standards of how my wife should be. My dad is one good example to me: he basically has no desire of any sort of wordly dreams, but envy for eternity well-being. I personally look a lot deeper than physical appearence even though it's a bonus in some sense (in this world and the life after this), and frankly put I am more attracted by white ladies. However, throughout my mission I - sad to say- saw many failure in marriage. I cannot see myeslf marrying one that is, in my dad's word, an airhead. Basically there is only four requirements that are mandatory to my "ideal" marriage: 1) She has to actively engaged in building up a united family; 2)She has to be comforting and compassionate; 3) I admire her in one way or the other, and 4) we don't mind spending a heck of eternity together. I think, even though it may sound naive again, life is simpler than what most of us recognized. We tend to complicate matters up, and creating vain or unexisted notions of life. We live in our own sphere of 'needs' and 'posession'. C.S.Lewis, in Screwtape Letter, said that we always thought that we posesses all the things that we can make a descesion on. We don't appreciate the truth that can be a part of goodness in our lives. Well, I guess I don't need to and am not capable to school anyone on this planet. However, I do recommand 'Sex and the City'. Yes, the name is pretty vulgar in a sense, but the key message is about the point of view of the author's of love, and how that leads to happiness. I enjoy the movie a lot, actually, to my own surprise.
Bottom line: I love you all, and I hope that we can meet soon. In God's glory shall we unite, and righteous gatherings are indeed in favor to the Plan. Of this I humbly testify, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Last day in Utah

Tomorrow we are going to fly out of Utah, on to Seattle. It's kind of sad, because I met all these fine people who loves the gospel and have sacrificed so many to attain their Spiritual state right now. I love each and everyone of them dearly.

Yesterday was rather lax compare to the other days we spent here in Utah. We went to the Thanksgiving Point, and visited the Dinosaur Museum. The models there are gigantic. We then went to the Welfare square, pay a trip, and went to the Deserret Industry.  I shopped for all my wardrobe over there. To tell you the truth, I really don't care if they are second handed or not, as long as they look good :) At night, I went to Kelly Chan's house and had dinner. We had fun just hanging out, and watching the match of Utah against Cleveland. The thing that touched me is how vast and how much the Church has done to the community. The Bishop store house, the food processing, and the donation are just absolutely amazing. Thousands of lives are saved because of the combined effort of all the members across the world. The unity God seeks is to save our soul. He really cares about us, our temporal and spiritual needs. I feel like the whole program of God is just a mirace. BTW, the printing center is HUGE. They got these rolls of paper that are 8 miles long, and they run a role of those every 30 minutes to produce Ensigns. Sometimes we just don't appreciate enough what God has prepared for us since 1830 when He appeared to Joseph Smith. Likewise, I know that every prophecy God has made to each and everyone of us will come true. We are truly His children, and are to inherit the Kingdom of God.

Today, I returned to Sister Smith, and interviewed her. It's quite an honor and privilege. She gave me grea advice as a single adult. Obedience, as she said, is one thing we should be quick in learning. Unity, she said, is what is most important in establishing a righteous family. She gave me a book, and I will read it and write a good report of it. We met Vicky Tuua, a friend of Sister Smith, who is in charge of 6 charity company. She is such a nice and capable person. The Lord just provide us with enough resources and counsels that we need to do His work. Eventually, after this trip, our perspective of how to build up a charity business is totally different. At night, we went to Epharim. It's way cold out there. The Snow College is totally out of no where. I am grateful that I never have to study there. Anyways, it's good to see some good friends after a while. I thought a lot about my friend serving in Temple Square. I prayed that I would not bump into her, and I never did throughout this trip, of which I am grateful :)

Business Log - Day 4

Day 4

This is another fun day for me. We set up some serious business for our partner designer in HK. Our partner's name is John Cho. He is in designing business for more than 15 years. He is not a member, but he has a good heart in helping us with all the ideas that we throw out. He is really helpful in designing our product and making all of our dreams happen. We got a refferal from Barbra Smith and we talked to the CEO of this company that design personalized books online. It's call the Heritage Maker. Their product is absolutely amazing, even their designing style is not quite to my taste. The product quality is great. They are very interested in what John is doing and is wondering if he can open up the Asian market. That company has more than 100k customers and ship hundreds of books everyday, despite the price that seems not very friendly.

We then went to visit Brendt Goddard. He is the project director of the Nu Skin Nourish the Children program. It's an absolutely amazing program, aside from the great products that are provided by Nu Skin (not to advertise, but their products really help, if you have the money to pay for it). Brother Goddard is a grad. from Havard Business School. He gave us much information on the idea of how to run a good business. I learnt a lot from him. I know that he helped a lot of people due to his wonderful directorship.

Continuing on to the day, we came to another peak of the whole trip. We went up to Provo, and have our second public presentation. It's a more refined speech than last time. We mentioned our goal and plan. However, how our money is to be spent, and how our clients, the youths, can be helped and the plan for it, remains ambiguous. I know that they tried hard. I don't know how much better, if not worse, I can do if I have to explain the same vast project. Personally, the exciting thing about the night is not the presentation, though. Thanks to Naomi Slade, tons of my friends from my mission came around for the dinner. We had lots of time hanging out. It was really fun. Jennifer Weed got engaged, which I am really happy for her. Here is the list of people who came: Naomi Slade, Tyler Larsen, Austin Gene (with his girlfriend), Joseph Belliston (with his wife), Rebekah Call (and her sister), Brother Anderson and Brother Rawle. These are good people. I owe them a ton. Well, I guess I can always see them on the "meihn syu" :)
